American Muallaf Baitulmaal (AMBM) is a non-profit organization that collects the donation from Moslem society in North America. Headquarters in Houston, Texas, AMBM, formerly known as Indonesian Baitulmaal, serves as the center of collection and distribution for donation, such as Zakat (charitable tax) and Sadaqa (additional contributions). This Zakat is mostly distributed to support many unfortunate and poor people in North America and overseas. One of the key AMBM programs is providing financial support/scholarships for a basic and advanced degree for these unfortunate people. American Muallaf Baitulmaal is a part of Indonesian American Muslim Community (IAMC), a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
